Reformation’s mission is to bring sustainable fashion to everyone... In fact, this LA-based contemporary fashion label, Reformation, was doing sustainable before sustainable was...well, fashionable!
All of their production stages, from design to shipping and everything in between, takes place at their innovative eco-facility in downtown Los Angeles. Here, each collection is made using salvaged deadstock, offcuts, upcycled fabrics, repurposed vintage clothing or new sustainable materials.
"There are people behind the clothes we make, and we put them first. Too often garment workers are subject to terrible conditions." That’s why Reformation built their own factory in Los Angeles, where they work with awesome people from all over the world. "It’s our responsibility to create a safe, healthy, and fair working environment for our teams, and for workers throughout our supply chain." And they do so through partnerships with industry groups like the Fair Labor Association, conducting on-site social responsibility audits, and a commitment to ensuring workers have a voice in their organization.
Furthermore, the brand also track all their clothing’s environmental impact through our internal lifecycle tool, RefScale. You find it on every product page and it tells you how much CO2, water and waste you save by shopping Ref compared to average clothes in the US.
The brand innovates for circularity and makes their progress public, so that consumers and peers alike can learn, share, and grow with the brand itself. Being socially conscious isn’t counterculture, it’s cultural currency.
