Schäfereigenossenschaft Finkhof eG

We are the Finkhof eG Sheep Farming Cooperative, based in Arnach
in the Allgäu region. The cooperative was founded in 1979, born of a desire
to live and work on our own terms. Its origins lay in a small,
traditional migratory sheep operation. Today, Finkhof is a cooperative featuring an online shop, a farm store, and three in-house workshops: one where local sheepskins are sewn, one where clothing is sewn from fabrics, and a hand weaving workshop.

To this day, our focus remains on products centered around the sheep—crafted from
wool and hides. We manufacture some of these items ourselves, while sourcing others from partner businesses. Our product range includes organic fashion, home textiles such as blankets and cushions, as well as sheepskin products. We also offer wool yarns and fabrics for handicrafts. This assortment is complemented by natural cosmetics, which are produced approximately 10 kilometers away from our location. Duvets, pillows, and mattresses are manufactured about 30 kilometers away in a specialized workshop—some utilizing virgin wool sourced from organic sheep farms from southern Germany.

Furthermore, many products in our range are certified according to standards such as IVN BEST or GOTS. These standards establish clear criteria regarding the humane treatment of animals, the use of chemicals, controlled limits for harmful substances, and fair conditions during processing.
