Myyra began in 1999, when Madhu Chandra started printing cloth by hand in Jaipur with a set of carved wooden blocks. We make organic cotton home textiles — bed linen, cushion covers, table linen, printed fabric — coloured with natural dyes and printed block by block, the way Rajasthan artisans have worked for generations. Every piece passes through roughly eight pairs of hands: block carver, printer, dyer, washer. We train women from nearby villages in block printing as the studio's founding purpose, not a side programme. We were among the early Indian makers to take organic certification seriously and have stayed with natural fibres and dyes since. Slightly uneven, never identical, always made by people — and shipped to homes across five continents.
