Lahara creates handbags and accessories celebrating timeless aesthetics, traditional Italian craftsmanship and a conscious choice of high quality, sustainable materials refined into elegant, stylish and functional companions for the independent woman.
Lahara was born out of the desire to create fine leather goods that last a lifetime thanks to timeless aesthetics, thoughtfully selected materials of highest quality and traditional craftsmanship. Their bags and accessories tell a story of authentic and ethical production sustaining/supporting the beautiful skills of small artisans workshops in Italy, paired with a functional and distinct design that sparks joy throughout the day and along seasons.
Today the brand manufactures in a small family run artisan workshop near Florence close to our tannery. In the second generation, brother and sister Matteo and Caterina continue the tradition of artisanal bagmaking with a small team of six. Specialized in vegetable tanned leather, every hide is carefully selected and handcut and every bag is 100% made internally.
Lahara creates companions for an active woman who embodies understated elegance, endeavors a conscious way of living and values quality rather than the label’s status. Inspired by the colours of the sea and the clean geometry of Mediterranean architecture from the 1960’s – marked by the rising popularity of the “bagni”/ “plages” culture at the Italian and French Riviera - Lahara’s Vista Mare collection playfully blends minimalist aesthetics with geometric elements of nature and architecture, recalling your vacation on the seaside.
