Kuyichi makes sustainable denim and timeless wardrobe essentials, fairly made to last. It started by a group of Dutch people who love denim and love the world. They make jeans for people who enjoy life and value life. That’s why they choose sustainable materials and suppliers that produce in a fair way.
Kuyichi is the name of the Peruvian god of the Rainbow. This God brings colour and positivity to society. The brand wants to bring a positive change in the clothing industry and their journey started in Peru.
The founders of Kuyichi - NGO Solidaridad - were exploring the cotton industry in Peru and where shocked by the pollution and poverty they saw. The alternative was organic cotton, without the use of toxic chemicals and with a better life for the cotton farmers. The most commonly worn product made of cotton is a pair of jeans, so they started by making 100% organic denim.
Kuyichi also works with different partners to make beautiful new things out of old denim.
