BHAVA is an ethical and sustainably made footwear brand of handcrafted and fair trade shoes.
The brand does not believe in the use of leather, and ever since started was an animal free company. In addition, BHAVA believes a truly compassionate approach to design needs to go beyond using leather alternatives to include the environment, working conditions, and finally to protect you and of course your feet.
The products are made of premium vegan leathers do not contain aromatic amines, PCP, formaldehyde, PVC, phthalates, azo-dyes, or chrome and REACH certified in Europe.
Working from their atelier in Spain and Mumbai, each Bhava shoe is exquisitely hand-crafted utilizing the best of both traditional and cutting-edge comfort technology. Bhava's founder, Francisca is a graduate of Parsons School of Design with almost two decades of experience working as a fashion designer. Fully committed to ethical and environmentally conscious design, Francisca taught Ethical Fashion and Sustainable Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
