Through Oneka, founders Philippe Choiniere and Stacey Lecuyer want to have a positive impact on people's health and the water ecosystems. Before starting this business, Stacey had been suffering from eczema for over 20 years; and Philippe had been allergic to synthetic fragrances since being a baby. For these two life-enthusiasts, Oneka is a way to express their desire to see positive change, as well as make people's lives better by developing and producing all natural personal care products. The brand also works with Plasticbank®, which enables them to remove 3 plastic bottles from the coastlines for every 500ml of product sold. So far they’ve removed over 3 million plastic bottles! Furthermore, Oneka has partnered with Taking Root and Arbre-Évolution to plant trees in areas such as Central America and Québec, which allows to contribute to reforestation and offset the business carbon emissions.
