Unlike most sustainable platforms and rating systems, Cobbled Goods, gets to the deeper roots of the sustainability issue by focusing on business design (who's in control and who benefits). This means it screens out large corporations and venture capital fuelled startups in favour of small independent businesses, cooperatives, steward-owned companies, and other alternative ownership models.
